Children's Programs
Jesus taught His disciples the importance of children in the Kingdom of God, and at First Presbyterian, we honor this teaching. We provide love, care and Bible training for each little one . . . for the sake of Jesus who came as a babe in Bethlehem.
Special programs for childrenEducational programs which involve all ages with junior and senior high studentshelping prepare settings and enactments which introduce biblical settings and concepts in interesting ways. One recent program of several weeks duration turned the gym into a simulated market place of Jesus' time with various types of people and merchandise
called "Market Place 29 A.D."
Preschool
Nurseries for babies and toddlers are available. We offer regular Sunday School classes for 2's, 3's, 4's and 5's. Children ages three and four, come to the sanctuary for worship and return to Extended Session following the "Time with Children" part of the service.
Elementary
Classes for grades 1 - 5 use the "Seasons of the Spirit" curriculum.
Pre-School Enrichment Program
For children ages six weeks through four years. Our goal is to nurture the development of the whole child, physically, spiritually, emotionally and intellectually.
Widely known as an excellent program, it meets Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday during the school year.
Vacation Church School
Held one week during the Summer, for children ages 4through Grade 8. Classes are sometimes held for youth and adults. Music, art, recreation, and individual age group study sessions centered around a common theme are all important parts of the schedule. Circus Spectacular was a recent event.

Christmas Program
A traditional part of the celebration of the Christmas season at First Presbyterian. The children of the church present a Christmas play as a gift to the church during a Wednesday evening Family Night dinner in mid December.
Youth Program
Middle School Youth Fellowship
Middle school students meet on Sunday evenings for fun, fellowship, snacks, study and service. Additionally, the middle school youth attend retreats and conferences throughout the year. Senior High Youth Fellowship
Senior high students meet on Sunday evenings in the Senior High Youth Lounge for fellowship, recreation, supper, study and service. They also attend retreats and conferences as well as plan and lead the annual Youth Sunday Worship Services. Senior High Youth Breakfast
Senior High Youth meet before school at Strawn's Eat Shop every Tuesday for breakfast and fellowship.- Senior High & Middle School Church School Classes
Middle School Youth and Senior High Youth meet during the Church School hour and also have classes during Midweek Manna. Bible Study classes are also offered during the week.
