Glossary of Terms

Diaconate
The group of Deacons.  Deacons are elected from the congregation to serve as outreach to members and the community.

Session
The Session is the ruling council selected by the congregation to make all those decisions regarding our congregation's worship and administration.

Presbytery
The local unit in the polity of a Presbyterian church, consisting of presbyters (i.e. elders and ministers) of several local congregations; several presbyteries may then form a synod (see Presbyterian church governance).  (from Wikipedia.com)

"Lectio Divina"
The ancient art to assist in accepting the embrace of God.  To read more click here.
